Overview

Launched as a kei car pursuing high-quality driving. Its engine was a unique four-cylinder 660 cc, with DOHC and supercharged versions offered. With great attention also paid to body rigidity, its driving, outstanding among kei cars, was well received and sales grew. It also took part in motorsport, starting with the Safari Rally. With the revision of the kei car standards, the Pleo went on sale in the domestic market in place of the Vivio.
