Daihatsu

Daihatsu's first small passenger car designed in-house since its tie-up with Toyota, and the company's first front-wheel-drive car. It carried a 1.0-litre engine and gave rise to the Japanese term "liter car". It is also known for versions tuned by De Tomaso that went on sale across generations. After it left the Japanese market, later cars sold under the same name were for overseas markets.
