At an izakaya in Utsunomiya

The first thing Klaus did after being appointed development lead of the second-generation NSX was to visit Shigeru Uehara, development lead of the first generation. In March, at an izakaya in Utsunomiya, he asked about the NSX over sashimi and grilled fish. Uehara said that with the first generation, the first thing he had considered was seating people properly and giving them a posture that lets driver and car become one. So with the second generation, the driving position and the view of the road were decided first.

Taking over from Klaus

The second-generation NSX was updated for a new model year. Asked to be its development lead, Mizukami was overjoyed and resolved to put everything he had cultivated at Honda into it. Klaus had researched with Mizukami since soon after Mizukami joined the company, knew his work well, and believed that no one but Mizukami could further refine how the NSX drives.
