Overview

Development began with a product planning proposal marking the 50th anniversary of Honda R&D. It went on sale as a new two-seat open sports car. Committed to high cornering performance, it adopted a midship-engine, rear-drive (MR) layout, achieving a low center of gravity and an ideal front-to-rear weight distribution of 45:55. It was later decided to end production.
