A rotary car born with the 10A rotary engine. The name comes from the image of a wild beast running across the great plains and from the fact that both the world's first steamship and its first nuclear-powered ship were named SAVANNA. The 12A-engined car of the following year beat the Skyline GT-R and its myth of invincibility, and it went on to achieve 100 wins in domestic racing as a single model. For lower emissions it adopted a thermal reactor, and the Savanna AP meeting emission regulations was added. Its successor, the Savanna RX-7, was born later.
