Overview
The coupe model of the Pulsar, beginning with the Pulsar EXA. Its distinctive look with retractable headlights set it apart from the sedan. The coupe alone later became independent from the third-generation Pulsar as the Nissan EXA. In its export market, the United States, its removable rear hatch could be swapped for a canopy hatch. It won the Japan Car of the Year award together with the Pulsar and the Langley, and it also received an American industrial design excellence award.
