Nissan

A luxury personal sedan Nissan launched as a derivative of the Bluebird. The first and second generations took on Toyota's Soarer but could not break its stronghold. A plan to end it with the second generation was overturned by opposition from the dealer companies, and the third generation was hastily introduced under the name Leopard J. Ferie. That third generation was a luxury sedan based on the Cedric and Gloria, sold in North America as the Infiniti J30. With the fourth generation the name returned to simply Leopard, and it became a sibling of the Cedric and Gloria. It was later discontinued, and its role as a personal sedan passed to the Teana.
