Daihatsu Copen generations and chassis codes

Overview

Under the banner ACTIVE TOP COMPACTOPEN, a kei car aiming to be a genuine open sports car that can be enjoyed casually. The first-generation Copen had the Active Top, an electrically opening and closing roof regarded at launch as a first for a kei car. After the first generation went out of production, a full renewal brought the second generation, which gained DRESS-FORMATION, a structure with removable interior and exterior parts. The lineup has had four types.
