A sports car built by Nissan and sold under the Datsun brand, a two-door convertible that is the origin of the Fairlady Z. Its predecessor, the Datsun Sports, planned by Yutaka Katayama as Japan's first sports car, was followed by the Datsun Sports 1000 and the Fairlady 1500. The two-liter Fairlady, the first Japanese car to exceed 200 km/h, was added, and it then ended production and was succeeded by the Fairlady Z.
