Build the car you want to drive

As coordinator of the S13 Silvia's development, Kawamura's wish was very simple: to build a car that is just plain fun to drive. Even in the exterior and interior styling, he paid no mind to its being the S12's successor, and told the designers, "Build the car you want to drive." The final themes were elegant, flowing styling, a modern soft interior with a human touch, and pleasant, fun driving.
