01

A TYPE R that works anywhere in the world

The TYPE R had used different suspension specifications for Japan and Europe, or even separate Civic TYPE R models. Asked to be development lead for the new model year, Kakinuma believed that the essence of the driving a car must deliver does not change with country or environment, and accepted in order to build the TYPE R that works anywhere in the world, which had been wanted but never possible. The result was the FK8, combining the fastest circuit performance in TYPE R history with GT performance that makes you want to keep driving forever.
