01

The fastest front-wheel drive at the Nürburgring

The goal Yagi and his team set was the fastest time for a front-wheel-drive production car at the Nürburgring, more than 20 km long with rough surfaces and long climbs and descents. It was a speed range ordinary production cars are not designed for, a tougher demand than a well-kept circuit. They repeated driving tests and simulations at the Takasu proving ground and Suzuka Circuit, and took on the Nürburgring attack.
