Form Follows Function

Yoshimine looks back on the design development of the new Pajero not as work by designers alone, but as a movement in which everyone on the development team in charge of packaging, product planning, engineering and tuning took part with the same level of enthusiasm. For a powerful proportion and a good view, the occupants' seating position was raised by 30 mm compared with the Triton, and the track was widened. Yoshimine described this as "form follows function", explaining that the shapes are not just for looking impressive, but that every form comes with a function.
