Adding the joy of ownership to environmental performance

To spread hybrid vehicles widely around the world, Inoue wanted the second-generation Prius to offer not only better environmental performance than ever, but also the joy of ownership, the fun of driving and the pleasure of the ride. With the concept of "Hybrid Synergy Drive," which advances eco performance and power together, it adopted the new THS II hybrid system and futuristic styling.
