Stationed at Yamaha, a second car in two months

The 2000GT was built with the cooperation of Yamaha Motor, whose GT car development with Nissan had fallen through. Toyota's core staff were stationed at Yamaha, and the first prototype was completed in August. Making the most of a small, elite team, they displayed the second prototype at the motor show just two months later.
