A sports car with a horizontally opposed engine in a front-engine, rear-drive layout. Developed jointly with Toyota, it drew on the technology and development know-how of both companies. The name takes three letters: B for BOXER engine, R for Rear Wheel Drive and Z for the ultimate. Its super-low center of gravity packaging, mounting the horizontally opposed engine low, raised handling performance. The second generation carries a naturally aspirated BOXER engine enlarged to 2.4 liters, and that model is on sale.
