A Mazda sports car with a rotary engine. In Japan it was initially called the Savanna RX-7, and by placing the engine near the center of the car in a front-midship layout it achieved a front-to-rear weight distribution of 50.7:49.3 with two aboard. The second generation changed from the 12A to the 13B and had blister fenders to house wide, low-profile tires. With the third generation the Savanna name was dropped and it became the efini RX-7, after the sales channel of the time. It was later decided to end production, closing a history of 24 years.
