Starting From the Ideal and Refining It Into a Deliverable Form

The eighth-generation ES was an all-new model and, at the same time, the first ES with an electric powertrain. According to Kumai, this car is not simply an evolution of the current ES. Instead of changing the design of the existing model little by little, it was developed with a new approach that began with a "super-ideal" design and then refined it into a form that could actually be delivered.
