Story

It positioned "low fuel consumption" and "low price", developed in the Mira e:S, as the essence of a kei car. It adopted resin outer body panels and is also the generation that adopted power sliding doors on both sides.

Plastic outer panels

The third-generation Tanto used plastic parts for outer panels such as the hood, front fenders and back door. Taking advantage of the greater freedom in shaping, it achieved a back door molded in one piece with the rear spoiler, which, besides saving weight by using plastic, also reduced the number of parts for lower cost and improved aerodynamics.
