Overview
The name means prelude in English, and also leading the way. Developed as a model exclusive to the newly founded Verno channel, it appeared as an advanced FF specialty car. It went on to adopt cutting-edge technology such as Japan's first ABS and the world's first 4WS, was widely accepted, mainly by young people, and created a new market. Over five generations from the first, it adopted the latest technology suited to each generation. The sixth generation, a hybrid specialty car for the electrified era, marks its revival after 24 years.
