Overview

A model name that Nissan treats as its representative premium sports sedan. It was launched by Fuji Precision Industries (later Prince Motor Company) and was at first called the Prince Skyline. When Prince Motor Company merged with Nissan, it joined Nissan's lineup together with the Gloria. Shinichiro Sakurai was involved from the first generation, became development lead with the third, and directed it through the seventh. Nissan says that every generation has adopted the most advanced technology of its time.
