It didn't start as a Prelude revival
The original aim was to create a new hybrid sports car for the electrified era. While thinking about what a sports car should be from now on, Yamagami remembered the Prelude, which had been talked about generation after generation and had opened up new eras. He thought the name Prelude, meaning an opening piece of music, fit a car that would herald a new era, and as a result development began as the sixth-generation Prelude.
Grandfather's radio-controlled glider
While struggling with the concept, Yamagami remembered that his grandfather had built radio-controlled gliders when he was a child, and the blue sky and white clouds he had looked up at on the riverbank. He actually took part in a glider experience flight, and that childhood thrill came back. That is how the "UNLIMITED GLIDE" concept took shape, and when he shared the experience, about 30 team members voluntarily joined an in-house glider experience flight.
